Following the Temps Graphique exhibition at the Museum of Watchmaking and Bar Turning in Cluses in 2023, photographer Coralie Sanson offers us a new macrophotographic experience. In 2024, the museum opened the doors to its permanent collections and its paper archives, containing numerous documents related to the workings of the watchmaking industry in the early 20th century. Coralie Sanson took this archival material and certain pieces on display at the museum to conduct a graphic and aesthetic exploration using the zoom power of macro photography. The images presented in the exhibition depict the world of watchmaking and archives using an approach that blends technical curiosity and aesthetic research. With graphic surprise being the thread of her work, Coralie Sanson offers us images of industrial and archival objects, transformed to become creative subjects in their own right. The exhibition was inaugurated as part of the European Night of Museums, 2025 edition, and received logistical and financial support from the Cluses Arve et Montagnes Community of Communes.
